Family Tails Photography photographer, Karen Hudson, specializes in taking stock photos of pets.  "Stock" photos are photos that can be used and reused for commercial design purposes.  Book publishers, calendars, specialty publishers, magazines, advertising agencies, film makers, web designers, graphic artists, interior decor firms, corporate creative groups and other entities utilize stock photography to fulfill the needs of their creative assignments.  

In general, stock photos of dogs are taken outside at a specific location in or around Menlo Park.  To participate in stock photography your dog will need some obedience training (sit and stay commands), and should be properly groomed.  Although dogs do not have to be show dogs to be photographed, they should be good examples of their breed. 

All Cats and some small dog breed stock photos are taken in the Family Tails Photography studio in Redwood City.   Cats are scheduled by appointment only.  If you own a small dog breed and would like to come into the studio for a stock photo session, please call to set up an appointment.
